Project activities under the Leadership Development and Training component seek to ensure that the management community in the Ukrainian civil service will possess the leadership capacity to fulfill their crucial role in leading reform of the human resources management approach in government as well as their ongoing leadership and management responsibilities.

Key planned activities include:

  • Developing, training and communicating leadership competency profiles;
  • Developing methodology and building capacity in training needs assessment for the leadership community; and
  • Designing and piloting leadership and management development programs.

Leadership Development and Training is aimed at assisting the Main Department of Civil Service in the establishment of a competent cadre of civil service leaders in support of civil service reform in Ukraine through leadership competency profile development, training needs assessment and the piloting of leadership and management development programs.
